How to Search for HP Partners

 

Need to find an HP Partner that can help you with your IT hardware or software needs?
HP Partners are organisations that sell HP products and services.  In just a few clicks, you can contact HP Partners in your area that offer expertise, customised solutions and exceptional customer service. HP's Global Partner Locator makes purchasing HP products easy.  Simply enter the search criteria that best meets your needs and a list of partners will be presented for you to contact.

 

Step 1: At the “Find a Partner for” prompt, select the category that represents your situation.  It is important to select the correct value to ensure you are directed to the correct type of HP Partner

The available categories are:

·      Home and Home Office (Consumer)

·      Small & Medium Business (1-999 employees)

·      Large Enterprise Business (> 1000 employees)

 

Step 2: Select the Type of search that you want to use.  The available Search Types are:

·      Search by Product – use this when you know the type of product you need

·      Search by Specialisation – where available, use this for partners that are specialised or provide vertical market solutions, enter the specialisation or vertical market you need

·      Search by Partner Name – use this find the contact details of a partner when you know the partner name

 

Step 3: Three different geographic searches are available:

·      HP partners who sell HP products online or deliver nationwide search: Where available, this search will locate Partners who sell products online or have the ability to deliver HP products nationwide.

·      Local HP partners in my area search: To identify the partners in your immediate area, enter the city where you live or work and the locator tool will return HP Partners in your area.  Other address fields are optional and may help to refine the search.

·      Proximity Search:  Where available, the Proximity Search will locate the HP Partners that sell HP Products within a given radius. Enter the city where you live or work, together with the desired distance and the locator tool will return HP Partners in the selected radius.  Other address fields are optional and may help to refine the search.

 

Once you have entered all your search criteria, click on the [Find] button at the bottom of the page.

 

Search results

The Search results will contain the list of Partners based on your search criteria (as reminder, this will be displayed at the top of the results page)

It displays the Partner’s Business Name, Address, and Phone No.  Where available it will also display a link to the partner’s email address and Website.  For countries where the map capability is available, a map icon that will show where the Partner is located and the distance will also be displayed.  A Partner profile may also be available, if so, an icon will be displayed.   Click the icon to open/display the link or information for the partner.

 

There are 10 partner records shown per page. Where there are more than 10 partners found, use the buttons provided at the bottom of the listing to see their details.

 

HP suggests that you call ahead to confirm product availability before visiting your HP reseller.

HP Partners can offer an unparalleled combination of expertise, proximity and customised solutions to you, our customers.  The program is designed to promote the value, skills and capabilities of our key Partners to our customers, and to facilitate higher levels of customer satisfaction.

·        Enterprise Storage and Servers Specialisations

 

o       Servers and Storage - Data Centre

The Data Centre Solutions Specialisation is open to the most skilled HP Preferred Partners focused on providing enterprise customers with high availability solutions, supporting servers, storage and business critical applications. DataCentre Solutions Specialists benefit from increased compensation and preferential access to HP resources to maximize responsiveness, including direct access to second-line pre-sales support and eligibility for HP deal registration to help partners generate and secure new business.

 

o       Servers & Storage - Storage Systems

The StorageWorks Solutions Specialisation is open to partners able to deliver sophisticated storage solutions, which solve customer business needs such as information lifecycle management, IT consolidation, and business continuity and availability. In addition to increased compensation, partners get access to a unique level of support from HP, thanks to the HP Certified Professional Connection and the StorageWorks technical portal. The portal provides a single point of connection for getting a privileged access to technical information and resources – helping partners to increase service levels and competitive edge. Partners are also eligible for HP deal registration to help them generate and secure new business.

 

o       Servers & Storage - Office Systems

Achieving the Computing Systems Solutions Specialisation is the most efficient way for partners selling HP servers and storage in the mid and enterprise markets to be recognized and promoted by HP as a value-added reseller with strong knowledge in HP enterprise technology, including HP ProLiant, HP StorageWorks and business-critical servers. To ensure that partners quickly build profitable business with HP, Computing Systems Specialists benefit from exclusive services, including increased compensation and prioritized pre-sales technical support and access to the HP InfoCentre (technical Q&A, information research, infrastructure solution consulting, configuration assistance and validation).

 

o       Servers & Storage - Business Systems

High Performance Computing Specialists must be able to sell and deliver high performance solutions based on HP server and storage technology in the following domains: scientific research, life sciences, engineering, oil and gas and geosciences, government (including weather forecasting) and defense. High Performance Computing Specialists gain increased HP compensation, prioritized pre-sales support, access to customer workshops, and early demo units.

 

 

·        Computing and Mobility Specialisations

 

o       Workstations

Industries like finance, mechanical design, animation and scientific research rely on workstations for peak performance and unfailing power. HP’s Workstations Specialisation recognizes and rewards partners who demonstrate the expertise to sell and deliver complex HP workstation solutions, often in conjunction with an Independent Software Vendor. In return for meeting the Specialisation criteria, partners receive a host of benefits including increased HP compensation, privileged access to demo and early evaluation units, invitations to customized workstation events and privileged access to pre-sales support. Workstations specialists may also be eligible for HP’s Deal Registration program, which helps generate and secure new business.

 

·        Imaging and Printing Specialisations

 

o       Printing - Entry Level Printing Technology

With the new Office Printing Specialisation, HP wants to recognize and reward partners actively selling across the IPG product portfolio, and displaying the will and skills to sell mid-range and high-end products.

 

o       Printing - Mid Level Printing Technology

Partners who obtain the Office Printing Specialisation mentioned above have the opportunity to reach yet another level in terms of Specialisation. The OPS Specialisation (formerly known as IPSS) targets Office Printing Specialists who want to actively address the imaging and printing solutions market opportunity, specifically at medium and larger organizations (hardware, supplies and services). The HP OPS Specialists are able to optimize and simplify the copying and printing network of their customers by balancing end-user productivity, support aspects and cost.

 

o       Printing - High End Printing Technology

Large Format Printing Specialists have in-depth printing solution knowledge within the following specific fields: technical (CAD, GIS application printing), graphics (LF graphics, proofing and indoor posters), signage (solvent-based printing: banners and signage) and creative (printing of professional photo and graphic design). Partners benefit from the expertise of an HP Large Format Printing account manager, who will help them to develop and implement a business plan. Specialists also gain access to training, technical information, prioritized pre- and post-sales support and additional compensation.

 

 

 

 HP Partner Certifications

HP Accredited Systems Engineer: Partners with this designation have professionals on staff with the training, expertise and accreditation needed to design, support, and/or implement a complex, enterprise-level solution - including platform, operating system, software, storage, network and option components - to solve your business needs. The partner will understand the scalability of HP solutions to meet the needs of business and enterprise customers alike. 

 

 

HP Accredited Integration Specialist: This designation indicates partners who employ HP Certified Professionals with the proven expertise required to integrate platforms, operating systems, software, storage, network and application components as they design, support and/or implement your specific business-class networked solutions.  

 

 

HP Accredited Sales Consultant: This signifies that the partner employs technology or market-aligned sales specialists who have extensive knowledge of the HP product range and will successfully position and recommend the correct HP enterprise products and services to provide the appropriate solution for your business needs and requirements. 

 

 

HP Accredited Presales Consultant: Partners with this designation employ technology-aligned specialists with expertise in large, enterprise environments. Partners employing these professionals can be entrusted with gathering customer business requirements, then planning and designing enterprise solutions based on HP technologies within a specialty area (e.g., XP Storage, Superdome). They will be able to help customers understand the complexities of the modern network, and propose credible solutions based on HP products that address their business needs. 

 

 

HP Master Accredited Systems Engineer: This signifies that a partner employs top professionals with the expertise to gather customer business requirements and then design, integrate and support a full solution including application, middleware, platform, operating system, storage, network and option components. The partner will understand the scalability of HP solutions to meet the needs of business and enterprise customers alike. 

 

 

HP Accredited Presales Professional: This designation indicates a partner who employs pre-sales technology-aligned professionals with the knowledge of appropriate HP products and solutions available. These partners are equipped to make recommendations based on HP technologies for complete solutions (potentially including application, platform, operating system, storage, network and option components) that will address your current and future strategic business needs. 

 

HP Accredited Sales Professional: This designation indicates a partner with sales people who can professionally anticipate your IT needs and recommend the appropriate HP enterprise solution for your business requirements and opportunities, based on their extensive knowledge of HP products. 

 

 

HP Accredited Platform Specialist:  This signifies that a partner employs professionals with the accreditations needed to provide hardware maintenance and support for the purpose of restoring consumer and business-class HP hardware to factory operational levels.

 

 

HP Certified Systems Administrator:  Partners employing these HP Certified Professionals can be trusted to perform hands-on installation, configuration, administration and support of HP solutions and/or HP operating systems in networked environments. These partners possess the deployment, administration and management skills needed to effectively maintain and manage HP operating systems and complex enterprise solutions.

 

HP Certified Systems Developer:  This designation indicates a partner with professionals on staff who are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to design, implement, test and maintain software solutions based on HP technologies. Look to these partners to provide custom-coded software solutions that address your business systems requirements.

 

 

HP Certified Systems Engineer:  This designation signifies a partner with professionals on staff whose high degree of training and expertise enables them to offer hands-on installation, performance optimization, management and support of HP solutions and operating systems in complex, enterprise environments.
